Event photographer at NEUPC inaugural conference
Leeds University booked me as their event photographer to capture some images at inaugural NEUPC conference they were holding for procurement delegates from a wide range of businesses and other academic institutions from around the north east. As this was the first of what is hoped to be an annual event, the university team were looking to get some images of the day’s proceedings for use in brochures, flyers, websites and other promotional material. My brief was to capture the delegates, chatting, speaking with suppliers and of course, get images of the keynote speaker and the workshops and discussion groups following the morning session. Below are a few sample images from the day. I used my go to lighting set up of a single speedlight mounted in a small softbox which I triggered via a radio transceiver. This set up allows me to shoot in manual exposure and create directional lighting which gives more depth to the images rather than bouncing the flash of the ceilings and shooting TTL metering.
