As a headshots photographer I get to work with a lot of actors and musicians to create headshots for their agency website or LinkedIn profiles and not just locals. Kyra is from York but found me on an internet search and liked the look of my work enough to make the journey over to my studio. Kyra needed headshots for her work as a TV extra and so we shot a variety of images on a white background as well as grey and black backgrounds. I like to shoot a few on the mid-grey as it does make it very easy for me to add in different backgrounds should I need to do so. A headshots session is usually a quick affair lasting around 45mins to an hour in the studio. It’s certainly enough time to create some beautiful portraits that convey the character of the subject. Of course, I shot these on the amazing Pentax 645z medium format camera with a 150mm portrait lens.
