Couldn’t resist a trip out to photograph the wood anemonies that are carpeting the local woodlands at the moment. I limited my kit on this trip to just two lenses, the awesome 24mm tilt/shift lens and a very sharp 90mm macro lens. Here’s just a single image for a taster taken with the 24mm perspective lens. Kim travelled over from York for a boudoir session – my reputation is spreading far and wide ha ha! This was a fun and relaxed session and proves that the boudoir sessions are not just for the 20yr olds! Laura was back in the studio for a few more shots for her portfolio. This time we did mainly boudoir shots of her in her new corsets and basques. Agian I used a mixture of low key shots on dark backgrounds as well as utilising some of the props around the studio.
April already! Where on earth is the year going? This is set to be a busy month with weddings and other photography commissions and projects in the diary (and my birthday!) and it started with a hectic studio day. Firstly I shot my regular model and friend Leanne for some sample bridal boudoir images, followed by a boudoir shoot with Laura and then a third boudoir shoot with Kim in the evening.
A North Yorkshire wedding today for a change on what was a very mixed day with blustery showers, hailstones and sunshine! Alex and Louise were married at St Giles’ Church, Copmanthorpe before moving on to the reception venue at The Parsonage, York where Louise braved the cold for the wedding photography. Wind is always a problem as hair and veils get blown around, but just as Louise posed in front of the car, a lucky gust of wind blew the veil out behind her in a far more elegant way than I ever could have staged!

Budding actor Stuart arrived at the studio for a headshot shoot to update his portfolio and get some new images to send to the casting agents. I went for a lot of low key shots to start with and then we ended up with some general lifestyle shots around the studio.
