This image of Sarah recently won me the gold award for best portrait (print section) at the Yorkshire Photographic Union (YPU) annual competition. Each year the YPU holds a competition which attracts 1000s of entries from photographers from all over the county and the competition is stiff as there are mnay high quality images to go up against. So it was pleasing that for the second year in a row I managed a gold medal for best in class with last year’s entry, also of Sarah, took gold award in the best digital creative image. The above image was taken during my fisrt ever shoot with Sarah while last year’s entry was from a subsequent cosplay shoot where Sarah played the part of a fallen angel, complete with black feathered wings!
