I got a call from Roan Building Systems to go along to their offices on Monkton Industrial Estate to shoot some headshots of the staff for the website and print. The brief was to shoot fairly classic business portraits against a clean background and then, on the day, we decided to shoot some team shots outdoors. I used a plain wall in the conference room and used a couple of SB800 flashes for lighting with the key light through a softbox off to camera left. Although the team were sat in front of a large window, the light coming through wasn’t enough to get into the shadow side of the face so I used a third speedlight to add a bit of soft fill. After the individual shots, we went outside for the team shoot so that we could use the company van for the branding.
A quick shoot that has landed the team some great images for the website but maybe not for Facebook :¬)
