Wakefield PR photographer: Yorkshire Air Ambulance & Redbrick Mills
Pivot PR were looking for a Wakefield PR photographer to do a promo shoot for their client Yorkshire Air Ambulance at Redbrick Mill in Batley. The brief was to shoot Kerry Garner, the Regional Fundraising Manager, along with YAA paramedic Lee Greenwood who were at Redbrick Mill to launch a fundraising partnership with the sales outlet who have made the YAA their nominated charity. I decided I needed to get the mill in the shot as it’s a fairly iconic local landmark and also has Redbrick branding so I used an ultra wide from a low angle to capture the shot. The trick with PR photography is to move quickly and think fast in order to deliver a small but varied selection of images for the client. Shooting both vertical and horizontal images and using negative space also allows the designers a greater degree of flexibility when they are laying out copy. With this in mind, I moved the group across the car park to a vantage point where I could use a telephoto lens to get some compression into the shot to give a different perspective to that of the wide angle. I supplied around 15 different images in three locations and executed the whole shoot in under 20mins. This means everyone is happy and waiting times kept to a minimum for those in the photos.
Here’s a couple of images from the shoot.
