Wakefield commercial photographer: Woolshops, Halifax
As dusk fell, I was in Halifax to photograph the Woolshops Christmas lights for my client Fizzco. I’ve never visited this shopping precinct before but I have to say, it looked very festive and I loved the backdrop of the hills beyond. The whole set was was outdoors so getting there at the ‘blue hour’ was essential to cpature the warmth of the bright, tungsten lights against the deep roayl blue of the sky just after sunset. The fact that the shops are on a hill (isn’t everything in Halifax?!) meant that I could shoot downhill and compress the scene with a 150mm tele on the Pentax 645z.
