Winnie’s 90th Birthday party

It was Winnie’s 90th birthday today and I was round at her granddaughter’s house to photograph the surprise party that was being thrown for her. With four children of her own, each with children and their children too, Winnie has an amazingly big family; there were 15 great grandchildren there alone! Around 50 family members gathered for the occasion  and she was thrilled to bits when she arrived and, being remarkably fit for her age,  took it all in her stride. I photographed the arrival and celebrations before afternoon tea was served and then afterwards, captured a few family shots and I finished by creating a few really nice formal portraits of Winnie.
