Yorkshire fashion photographer: Concept fashion shoot
I love my job as a Yorkshire fashion photographer; I get to work with some great creatives and today was no exception. I was shooting a concept fashion set for local designer, Debbie Bosco, which included a dress made entirely from party ribbons, a dress made from a few thin leather straps, a fabulous coat and a dress made for dyed voile! I decided to shoot much of the shots on a neutral grey background, (it’s a white background actually, I just light it to 20% grey) as this tends too suit most fashion styles and I can easily colour shift it in post. I also shot a some low key stuff on a black background and used a few gels for different looks and effects. My friend Willima Barrington-Binns was there too with his 100mp Phase 1 which I just had to have a go with! However, all these images are taken on my trusty Nikon D810 which is outstanding in the studio. All the liughting was done with just three Profoto B1 heads into softboxes, strip boxes, grids or a giant parabolic umbrella.
