Yorkshire wildlife photographer: photographing birds in Spain

I still keep up with my passion for photographing all things wild and although I am a Yorkshire wildlife photographer, I do enjoy the odd field trip abroad. I’ve just got back from a few days photographing birds in Spain, one of my favourite places for nature photography, it just such a huge unspoilt country with a great diversity of birds. Some of the key species to photograph were sandgrouse, a bird of the hot dry desrt areas, the beautiful orange and black rock thrush and its close cousin the blue rock thrush. I managed to photograph a good selection of birds but missed out on a few of the target species such as Montague’s harrier. Here’s a couple of images but if you’d like to see more, head over to my wildlife photography website Wildscenes.com
